Thankful Meals In Motion

Thankful Meals In Motion is a non-profit organization was founded in 2002 by Theressa Ruppert who wanted to provide families a hot meal on Thanksgiving day. Having grown up in a poor environment, she related to not having had enough food some days. She also understands that it is hard for some people to accept help so she makes sure the food is delivered to the home. Each name she is given is handled discreetly. Volunteers don’t even know the full names of the people they are delivering too. It began with her, her sisters and Mom cooking for 5 families and today they are feeding well over 100 people. The food is prepared by the Ruppert family of Clementines/Hawkshead Restaurants. Our wonderful volunteers help us pack the food and deliver hot to the families door on Thanksgiving Morning.

 

VOLUNTEERS: Our Volunteers get up early on Thanksgiving morning to deliver the food before they even prepare their own. We are so blessed to have so many people from our community to volunteer their time or money to this wonderful cause.

 

SPONSORS: We have so many sponsors that donate boxes, beverages, and other little things that help us be able to do what we do.

 

FUTURE: Thankful Meals In Motion is looking to expand and help families with medical expenses, prescription glasses, and dental. The list goes on and on. In this economy there are so many families in need.
