His Place is a church of second chances; believing in showing Grace, having Mercy, giving Hope, building Faith, and showing the Love of God to one another. We are a Bible believing, Bible teaching church and encourage each member to seek out a daily relationship with God.
Matt 22:36-39 (New King James Version)
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
This is scripture is really what living as a Christian is all about. Loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind; and second loving your neighbor as yourself.
First we encourage everyone to have a daily relationship with God, providing each person with the tools to develop this relationship through Bible studies, leadership courses, fellowship, and Bible based teaching.
Secondly, the Bible teaches to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus reinforces this with the scripture in
John 13:34-35 (New King James Version)
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We are told to love one another by Jesus Christ and this is how we know we are His disciples. We are considered disciples of Christ by our love for one another.
